H.Y.P.E. Athletics offers a free, in-school and after-school Tutoring and Homework Assistance Program to youth K-8th grades at a variety of sites throughout Wayne County. We place a great emphasis on state required assessment tests. With our maintained student/teacher ratio of 8:1, we are able to ensure students are receiving quality assistance at all times.
H.Y.P.E. employs certified teachers and professionals while partnering with colleges and universities to attract high achieving students with majors in math, science, history and computer literacy to assist youth. H.Y.P.E. proudly extends employment opportunity to certified and licensed teachers.
Every student in our Tutoring and Homework Assistance programs is closely monitored for assessment. Weekly summaries and grade tracking is dutifully kept, along with progress notes and test scores. The goal at H.Y.P.E. is for each student to improve his or her scores in every area of learning while working with our tutors.
H.Y.P.E. takes great pride in the Tutoring and Homework Assistance program offered. Students, parents and school districts have never incurred any costs for the services provided from this program.
H.Y.P.E. understands every student is different, and works to identify those needs. Our MEAP readiness program gives our youth an opportunity to achieve above standard test scores. Our tutors help students with homework, class projects and reports. We aim to help students overcome difficulties with particular subjects.
